On the ninth biannual GCES for Rethinking Educational Reform in the GCC Reflecting on the Past to Inform the Future from 21-23 of March 2021, the Gulf Comparative Education Society (GCES) will be hosting Dr. Fatimah M Al Hashem, Assistant Professor at the English Department at GUST, as a keynote speaker on Kuwaiti education policy. 
Dr. Al Hashem is a high-caliber GUST faculty member whose has made prominent contributions to the educational process in Kuwait. Dr. Al Hashem has been selected to fill a higher position in both education sectors, private or public.
Dr. Fatimah Al Hashem has been selected by the Council of Ministers to join the Team for Educational Strategies to shape pragmatic solutions for issues related to economic reform, demographic adjustment, social media regulation, and education strategy. 
Moreover Dr. Fatimah Al Hashem has been appointed as a consultant by UNESCO in order to prepare a diagnostic study on the current situation of education in Kuwait during COVID-19.
