The Research and Development Office along with the Academic Affairs Office at GUST, presented the Distinguished Faculty Research Award for the 2021/2022 Academic Year. The award was presented by Acting President and the Vice President of Academic Affairs, Professor Bassam Alameddine, and the Director of the Graduate Studies & Research Office, Professor Issam El Moughrabi in a ceremony on campus.

The Distinguished Faculty Research Award is an acknowledgment of outstanding achievement and success in research highlighting the research contributions of faculty members. The objective of the award is to reward of noteworthy scholarly activity that has brought immense recognition to GUST and to encourage academic research at GUST. Recipients of the award receive a KWD 750 monetary prize. The award is offered annually to one faculty member from each college at GUST.

This year, Dr. Khalid Kisswani, Associate Professor at the  Economics & Finance Department and Dr. Danish Ahmed, Assistant Professor at the Mathematics & Natural Science Department, both received the award in recognition of their accomplishments and dedication for conducting high-caliber and exceptional research work.
