CAMB Hosts Professor Ard Louis
Gulf University for Science and Technology’s (GUST) Center for Applied Mathematics and Bioinformatics (CAMB) held a seminar by Professor of Theoretical Physics at the University of Oxford, Professor Ard Louis. The seminar was held exclusively for GUST faculty, on how to improve research profiles and publish in higher impact journals. Professor Ard Louis, obtained his PhD from Cornell, and worked as research fellow and lecturer in theoretical chemistry in Cambridge University, before moving to Oxford. He now leads an interdisciplinary research group studying problems on the border between chemistry, physics, and biology.
CAMB are known for their organizing various practical workshops that for faculty and students in the fields of mathematics and applied sciences such as last year, when they hosted an app building workshop in collaboration with the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences. CAMB adhere’ s to GUST future goal of becoming a hybrid teaching and research institute.
